Barco interesantíssimo concebido e construído por Yves Kinard, arquitecto naval, a bordo do qual fez uma travessia transatlântica em solitário. Esta viagem tinha como fim dar a conhecer o Spirit of Arielle, nas suas diferentes versões, no mercado europeu, nomeadamente o francês.
Da Maryk Yacht Design SARL, St. Martin, saíram outros projectos de grande ineresse.
O nome é uma homengem ao 1º navegador solitário a atravessar o Atlântico a motor: Marin-Marie que, em 1936, partiu de New York efectuando esta viagem em 19 dias ao bordo da vedeta L'Arielle
